GTJAI Initiative of “Green Office, Low
Carbon Living”
To fulfill the strategic goals of the Second “Three-Year Plan” of our parent company, Guotai Junan Securities Co., Ltd., lead the way in embracing “green finance”, project an
image of a world-class ESG enterprise, foster a culture of energy saving,consumption reduction and thriftiness, and advancehigh-quality “green operations”, GTJAI issues the “Green
Office, Low Carbon Living” proposal to all employees:
1. Efficient Lighting Usage: Avoid
unnecessary or unused lights in the workplace, maximize natural light during
the day; remember to switch off office lighting when leaving, ensuring lights
are off when no one is present to prevent unnecessary energy consumption.
2. Reduce Standby Power Consumption: Power down computers, printers, water dispensers,
TV screens, and other office equipment when not in use; enable “energy-saving”
modes on computers, adjust screen brightness, and shorten automatic screen
shutdown and computer sleep times.
3. Proper use of air conditioning: Set the air conditioning temperature to
26°C-28°C in summer and 16°C-24°C in winter; do not turn on the air
conditioning when there is no one indoors, and keep doors and windows closed
when the air conditioning is on.
4. Proper use of elevators: Encourage
employees to take the stairs more often for physical fitness; use stairs for
short distances (within 3 floors) as much as possible.
5. Reduce office paper usage: Embrace paperless office practices where
possible; opt for double-sided printing when necessary to reduce paper usage;
prohibit printing of personal materials or materials not related to work;
promote the use of electronic or recycled paper business cards.
6. “Clean Plate” Campaign: Avoid overordering during meals to reduce
food waste; dine in whenever feasible, minimize takeout orders, and limit
single-use tableware usage.
7. Responsible Water Consumption: Cultivate water-saving habits, minimize
water usage duration, turn off taps when not in use, report leaks promptly to
property management office; encourage personal water bottle use during meetings
to reduce bottled water consumption, and take away unfinished bottles.
8. Eco-Friendly Commuting: When
traveling for work, bring personal toiletries and utensils, opt for high-speed
rail travel when possible; adopt green commuting practices such as walking
short distances (within 1 km) and using public transport for distances up to 5
km; for personal commuting, prefer low-emission or electric vehicles.
9. Waste Management: Reduce office
and household waste, implement strict waste sorting practices in office areas;
regularly declutter unused newspapers, books, office and household items, and
exchange with colleagues to minimize waste.
10. Practice green procurement: Adhere to the principle of prioritizing “green
and low-carbon” in any procurement activities, prioritize environmentally
friendly raw
materials, products, and services that save energy, water, material and other
resources; for example, purchase green products like recycled paper for the
office.
11. Promote Green Initiatives: Educate employees on “green and low-carbon”
laws and regulations, actively advocate for the “green office” concept,
starting from individual actions and aspiring to be exemplary figures in energy
conservation and environmental protection.
Every colleague is a stakeholder in our green workplace. Let’s cherish
our work and
living environment, strengthen our
sense of responsibility for “green and low-carbon” practices,
actively engage in “green
operation” efforts for environmental protection, and become advocates, practitioners, and overseers of green
initiatives.
