GTJAI Participated inTree Caring Activity to Practise ESG Ideologies Continuously

[22 November 2021, Hong Kong] Guotai Junan International Holdings Limited (“Guotai Junan International”, the “Company” or “Group”, stock code: 1788.HK) successfully completed the “Climate Tree Care” activity on 19 November, 2021.Led by Dr. FU Tingmei, Chairman of the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Committee of the Company, Mr. WONG Tung Ching, Executive Director and Deputy Chief Executive Officer, and Mr. LI Guangjie, Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer, the Company’s employees completed this tree caring activity in 4 hours in Tai Lam Country Park,  practising its ESG ideologies continuously with actions.

In June this year, Guotai Junan International participated in the “Tree Planting Challenge” organized by green group Friends of the Earth and planted nearly 300 small local saplings. This time, the Company once again cooperated with Friends of the Earth and participated in its “Climate Tree Care” activity to weed and fertilize the small saplings. The activity received positive responses from the entire Company. The management of the Company exercised physically as well. Dr. FU Tingmei, Mr. WONG Tung Ching and Mr. LI Guangjie went together with the employees to Yuen Tun Country Trail at Tai Lam Country Park to complete the task in the tree planting area. Through this activity, the Company made contribution to reduce carbon emissions, provided suitable habitats and food sources for local wildlife, and protected the biodiversity of the earth.
